Welcome to Legacy Of Ashes.
Civilisation did not disappear.
It fractured.
Across the Ashlands, isolated settlements, roaming survivors, organized Syndicates and hostile territories compete for survival. Every decision creates consequences. Every profession has value. Every alliance changes the balance of power.
This world was designed to feel alive—not because NPCs tell a story, but because players create one together.
CORE DIRECTIVE
Legacy Of Ashes expands Rust into a persistent survival world where conflict, economy and progression are connected.
Instead of every survivor becoming identical, players develop unique identities through professions, Syndicates and long-term choices.
No single player can do everything.
The strongest communities are built through cooperation.
WORLD STRUCTURE
The Ashlands operate under three security classifications.
SANCTUM
Security Status: Protected
Sanctum represents the last functioning settlements.
These locations exist to encourage:
- Trading
- Roleplay
- Commerce
- Community projects
- Player interaction
Hostile actions are prohibited.
Civilisation survives here.
ASHLANDS
Security Status: Controlled Conflict
The Ashlands contain contested objectives and valuable resources.
Conflict is expected.
PvP occurs around designated monuments, dynamic events and strategic objectives.
Risk increases alongside opportunity.
BADLANDS
Security Status: High Threat
The Badlands belong to no authority.
Territory warfare, raiding and large-scale conflict define these regions.
Those who enter should expect resistance.
Survival is never guaranteed.
SYNDICATE NETWORK
Every survivor may align themselves with a Syndicate.
Each Syndicate unlocks unique capabilities unavailable to the others.
Examples include:
- Law Enforcement
- Engineering
- Agriculture
- Vehicle Manufacturing
- Hunting
- Trade
- Criminal Operations
Your Syndicate determines your strengths.
Your reputation determines your future.
PLAYER ECONOMY
Resources alone do not build civilisation.
Players trade:
- Equipment
- Vehicles
- Intelligence
- Protection
- Manufacturing
- Agriculture
- Engineering
- Rare technology
- Specialized services
Economic power can become just as valuable as military strength.
LAW & CONSEQUENCES
Freedom exists.
Consequences exist as well.
Criminal activity can trigger:
- Player bounties
- Arrest warrants
- Jail sentences
- Reputation loss
Justice is enforced by players—not scripted NPCs.
TERRITORY CONFLICT
Conflict is never constant.
It grows around valuable objectives.
Survivors compete over:
- Raid sectors
- Territory control
- Strategic monuments
- Dynamic world events
- Valuable supply routes
Every victory changes the balance of power.
THE LEGACY
Legacy Of Ashes is not built around wipes alone.
It is built around stories.
The trader who supplies an entire settlement.
The hunter feared across the frontier.
The mechanic who keeps convoys alive.
The outlaw with the highest bounty.
The Warden protecting civilisation.
Your equipment can be replaced.
Your reputation cannot.
